improve your quality of life. Treatments include:
High-fiber diet to regulate stool consistency
Specialized physical therapy to strengthen pelvic muscles and improve coordination. Biofeedback uses sensors and visual cues to help retrain muscle function.
- Sacral Nerve Stimulation (SNS):
A pacemaker-like device stimulates nerves that control the bowel, restoring function
- Solesta® Injections:
A gel injected into the anal canal to improve closure and reduce leakage.

Constipation is more than just infrequent bowel movements. If you’re straining, feeling incomplete evacuation, or using laxatives regularly, you may have chronic constipation, a condition that often has underlying causes that can and should be identified.
At our practice, we specialize in a comprehensive, evidence-based evaluation of constipation- including the latest in diagnostic testing, such as Anorectal Manometry – to uncover the root cause and create a customized treatment plan.
In some cases, we may use a radiopaque marker test or wireless motility capsule to measure how quickly stool moves through your colon.
